Fall Season Kick Off

Sunday, Aug 19 - Field Training

I was really looking forward to the first training session with our 28+ U11 girls today.  I say "+" here as we have 4 or 5 guest players and US Club Soccer players with us.  I think the kids and the parents were anxious to get started as well, looking forward to a handful of training sessions prior to the NRS Gold Cup event in Naperville over Labor Day Weekend.

However, Mother Nature was not very cooperative, bathing the area in rain and lower temps.  Rain is not a bad thing, but the cold weather coupled with the wetness would have made the girls miserable.  So we ended up canceling the training session and will get the girls together on Tuesday.  Bummer.
