Madison Day 1

  I had a great drive down to Madison with only seeing 4 police cars the entire way down and 3 of them were going the other way.  I gave up trying to speed through Wisconsin many trips ago even though I had never been pulled over going through the great state of cheese, but I still count all the cop cars that have stopped people.

I rarely ever get to see my younger sister due to our busy schedules, but she is now a freshman at UW Madison so we had made plans to meet up for dinner tonight.  She is a goalie on their hockey team who were back to back NCAA champs in 06 and 07 and runners up last year.  

My original plan was to go over to the fields and check the teams in right at 5:30pm when they started but my sister called me at 5:00 saying that they had finished up early with practice so I decided to hold off until tomorrow morning to check the teams in.  Boy I hope that they are quick with the check in process since we have an earlier game.

After dinner with my sister, I went back to the hotel to meet with all the 12's and 13's who were able to make it down there by 8pm to talk a little about the weekend.  I then thought about going through a trial run of setting up the Hi Pod with the people who would be operating it over the weekend but I decided against it.  

As I went to sleep I had hoped that I hadn't left too much to do in the morning so I slept with my fingers crossed that everything would go smoothly.
